If you could buy a magic potion, what would it be?

Once upon a time there was a good man named Sid Hammerback. He worked in New York City defending dead people who could no longer speak for themselves because their lives had been taken from them by murder, by suicide, by the worries of the body becoming too much. Before that he had been a Chef to high paying customers who liked his food because it was always cooked with passion. He liked his second job, though, because he knew he was doing something worthwhile.

Sid was a lucky hero because he met his own special heroine and they hit it off right away. Many a long day leaked into a long afternoon, and then night, as they talked, and were friendly, and loved each other dearly. They had a lovely wedding, lead a great life together, and eventually they had two beautiful children, two sons of pleasant spirits and mischievous minds who entertained their parents greatly. Sid and his heroine were happy together with their two children, and were very good parents.

One day some villainous people caused the place where Sid’s heroine worked to fall down with her inside it. That day she had their two sons with her, showing them how they would each be heroes of their own when they grew up.

Sid never saw his heroine and their two sons again. He never found them after those buildings fell, and for a while he turned to malicious evil potions to quell his pain and numb his mind. One day he fell down some stairs, but it didn’t hurt anywhere as much as the roaring sadness in his head.

Time passed in Sid Hammerback’s life, and the lucky hero, who had been unlucky, found his happiness and his luck again, but he was still a changed man. He had family though, he had friends to help him, and in the end, it looked like he would be ok. Oh how he wished though, oh how he sometimes thought, how nice it would be to have a magic potion to undo it all, even just to let him see them one last time, so he could say a proper, final goodbye.
